The Faculty of Physical Therapy holds a beneficial workshop on “Injury Reduction” as part of the first day of Students’ Training Summer Camp

The Department of Basic Sciences at the Faculty of Physical Therapy, MTI university organized the first day of the Students’ Training Summer Camp that is to be held for (5) days under the supervision of the Faculty’s administration and in coordination with the University’s officials.  

The first day featured several distinguished events, particularly as the students obtained a special ID card, customized for their registration at the camp. Also, a beneficial workshop entitled ““Injury Reduction” was held by Dr. Ahmed Bayoumy, a Teaching Assistant at the Department of Basic Sciences, with the aim of identifying the injuries reduction’s causes and assessment methods. It is worth mentioning that this workshop marked a large notable turnout.

A students’ competition was held on the cases’ assessment methods, followed by an orientation tour to the Isokinetic & Biomechanics Lab so as for the students to gain more information on its use, and be able to accurately interpret the relevant extracted reports to help them assess different cases.

The camp was organized under the auspices of:

§   Prof. Naguib Salem – Dean of the Faculty.

§   Prof. Azza Fekry – Vice Dean for Student and Education Affairs.

§   Prof. Samia Abdelrahman – Vice Dean for Community Service and

        Environmental Development Affairs.

The events of the first day were held under the supervision of Dr. Eman Atef and Dr. Nada Khaled, the organizing team members.
