History

Modern University for Technology and Information (MTI) was established by virtue of Presidential Decree No. 430 of 2004, as a private University that is supervised by the Ministry of Higher Education, having an independent legal entity.

The University conducts its business pursuant to the provisions of law no. 49 of 1972, promulgated concerning the Regulation of Egyptian Universities and Law no. 12 of 2009, promulgated concerning the Establishment and Operation of Private and Civil Universities, issued in accordance with the Decree of the Board of Trustees on February 27^th, 2006.

The University's academia started at the Faculties of Computers and Artificial Intelligence and Management and Business Intelligence in the academic year 2005/2006, by the Ministerial Decree of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research no.(2079), issued on August 7^th, 2005.

In the academic year 2006/2007, Presidential Decree No. 350 of 2006, was issued to establish the Faculties of Mass Communication and Engineering.

Study started at the Faculties of Mass Communication and Engineering in the academic year 2006/2007, upon the Ministerial Decree of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research issued under no. (3033), on November 30^th, 2006.

In the academic year 2009/2010, Presidential Decree no. 301 of 2009 was issued to establish MTI University's Faculties of Pharmacy and Nursing.

Study started at the Faculties of Pharmacy and Nursing, by virtue of the Ministerial Decree of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, issued under No. (3195), on October 7^th, 2009.

    MTI University is moving forward towards achieving its noble aim of being at the forefront of Egypt's path to sustainable development and progress.
