Welcome Day for the First-Year Students at the Faculty of Pharmacy, MTI
University
In an atmosphere filled with
enthusiasm, joy, and optimism, the Faculty of Pharmacy, MTI University launched
the events of the welcome day for the first-year students who are registered
for the Bachelor’s Degree of Pharmacy programs (Pharm D) and (Pharm D- Clinical
Pharmacy). The
events were organized to celebrate the start of a new academic year full of
learning, excellence, and ambition.
During the day, the first-year
students made an orientation tour within the Faculty campus. They visited the
different scientific departments, the laboratories, and the lecture halls,
which allowed them to become familiar with the learning environment in which
they will undergo their academic journey.
Prof. Shohda
El-Maraghy, Dean of the
Faculty of Pharmacy, and Prof. Omnia Mahmoud Khalil, delivered welcome
and motivational speeches. Prof. El-Maraghy and
Prof. Khalil discussed the importance of the University stage and
explained the main differences between Secondary and University education.
They placed special emphasis on the
students urgent need to rely on themselves, develop their thinking, learning,
and research skills, and make use of the educational opportunities and
activities provided by the Faculty in particular and the University in general.
Colonel/ Yasser Abdelhalim also delivered an introductory speech
on the main rules of discipline within the Faculty, introducing the fundamental
safety procedures and instructions, and the dress code. Colonel/ Abdelhalim
stressed on the importance of a proper appearance that suits the nature of the academic
environment and the pharmacy profession.
Additionally, in a special gesture
that reflected the family spirit of the Faculty of Pharmacy, a group of the current
students, graduates, and Faculty members also delivered welcome messages to the
first-year students. They shared their own University life experiences and provided
them with precious advice to help them begin their academic path with
confidence and enthusiasm.
The Faculty administration also
honored the top achieving students from different classes in both the (Pharm D)
and (Pharm D - Clinical Pharmacy) programs, in recognition of their academic
excellence and encouraged all students to keep working hard for continuous
excellence.
At the end of the day, joy,
happiness, enthusiasm knew no bounds, reflecting the family spirit that
characterizes the Faculty of Pharmacy.
Accordingly, the Faculty wishes all
its dear students a new academic year full of success, excellence, and
achievement. The Welcome Day events were organized under the supervision of Prof.
Nisreen Nabil, Coordinator of the Faculty’s Student Activities Committee.
