The Faculty of Mass Communication organizes an Orientation Day for its first-year students

The Faculty of Mass Communication, MTI University launched the events of the orientation day for its first-year students.

The orientation day events were marked by the remarkable attendance of the following Faculty members:

§  Prof. Sami El-Sherif, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, MTI University.

§  Prof. Amin Said, Faculty Vice Dean of Student and Education Affairs.

§  Prof. Miral Moustafa, Faculty Vice Dean for Postgraduate Studies and Research Affairs.

§  Prof. Maya Elbayda, the Faculty's Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs.

§  Assoc. Prof. Reem El-Sherif, Head of the Radio and Television Department and Director of the Visual-Audio Production Program.

§  Assoc. Prof.  Hanan Atef — Head of the New Media Department and Director of the Graphic Design and Multimedia Program.

§  Assoc. Prof. Walaa Yehia — Associate Professor at the Public Relations (PR) and Arts of Advertising Department, attending on behalf of Assoc. Prof. Mai Mahmoud, Head of the Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) Department and Director of the Public Relations (PR) and Arts of Advertising Program.

§  Prof. Eman Arafat, Head of the Journalism and E-Publishing Department.  

§  Other Faculty members and assisting staff.

The events started with the speech of Prof. Sami El-Sherif, Dean of the Faculty, through which he welcomed the first-year students, emphasizing the importance of University education in building up the students personalities and elevating their skills. Prof. El-Sherif also urged the students to maximize the advantage of the academic and training opportunities and activities provided by the Faculty.

A detailed illustration of the Faculty’s departments, academic programs, study system, various specializations, student activities, and the offered training opportunities was provided so as the students could have a clear insight regarding both their academic and professional paths since their enrollment at the Faculty.  

The events featured the remarkable interaction among the students, the staff members and teaching assistants, which help the students closely get to know the Faculty’s departments and programs, and easily pose all their inquiries about their study, specialization, activities, and the training opportunities provided within their years of study.

The events of the orientation day were launched as part of the Faculty of Mass Communication’s commitment to create an exceptional academic environment for the purpose of supporting its first-year students and enhancing their communication with the Faculty members as they begin their academic journey. This will contribute to the qualification of professional graduates who acquire the skills and knowledge necessary for keeping up with the rapid developments which the fields of media and communications are witnessing.

By the end of the events, the Faculty welcomed first-year students, wishing them an academic year filled with success, progress, and a prosperous academic path of learning, innovation, and achievement.
