“Through the Lens 2026” a distinguished Photography Competition held by the New Media Department, Faculty of Mass Communication, MTI University.

The New Media Department at the Faculty of Mass Communication, MTI University is pleased to announce the launch of “Through the Lens 2026” Photography Competition.  The aim of the competition is to discover the students’ creative talents in the field of Photography and encourage them to express their insights through photos, turning each moment and scene into effective visual stories. 

 

Competition Categories

01. People and Portrait

Ø  Capturing all the personal, emotional, and humanitarian expressions through the Portrait and Documentary Photography of People. 

02. Places and Stories

Ø  Places, Architecture, Streets, Autos, and Nature Photography, with a special focus on the finest details that define the stories and identity of each place.

03. Creative Vision

Ø  Creative Photography which depends mainly on a visual creative idea or story through Composition, or Lighting, or Perspective, or Digital Processing.

 

Competition Awards

Three winning artworks will be selected in each of the three categories of the competition, and several other distinctive photos will be honored.

Eligible Candidates

Ø  “Through the Lens 2026” Competition is open for all the students of the Faculty of Mass Communication.

Ø  Students may participate in one category or more of the Competition’s three categories.

Competition Rules and Submission Guidelines

§  All the submitted artworks MUST be captured in person by the student. The presented artworks MUST NOT be copied or plagiarized from any other original artworks.

§  Each student is permitted to submit a maximum of five photography artworks in the three categories of the competition.

§  Students may submit artworks to one category or more of the three categories in the Competition.

§  All photos MUST be submitted in the JPG/JPEG format.

§  All photos MUST be submitted in a high quality, with a (DP1300) resolution, and (A3) size.

§  Photos generated entirely via AI are NOT accepted.

§  All submitted artworks MUST include the following student and artwork’s information:

-          (Student Name)

-          (Student ID)

-          (Photo ID)

-          (Competition Category)

-          (A short Description of the Photo’s idea or story).

Important Note

The competition does NOT permit any artworks that includes any offensive or inappropriate, or discriminatory, or hateful content, or any content that violates the privacy and rights of others, or the applicable laws and regulations.

 

A selected collection of the distinguished winning artworks will be displayed at a Photo Exhibition or any Student Activity that is to be organized by the Faculty.

Participation Guidelines and Submission Deadline
