A Unique Innovative Educational Experience at MTI's Faculty of Medicine

In an exemplary endeavor to reflect the contemporary educational insights, the Department of Ophthalmology at the Faculty of Medicine, Modern University for Technology and Information (MTI) maintains the outstanding performance by presenting a unique, innovative educational experience for the fifth consecutive year. This experience involves the replacement of the traditional research articles with societal awareness projects to be carried out by the Faculty Students. 

In a nutshell…

The Faculty students will not only focus on the theoretical aspects of their studies, but also they will engage with the community to simply and effectively spread and raise medical awareness.  

Students were assigned into groups that worked collaboratively and competed fairly and positively to be rewarded the best team prize.

Teams were assessed on the basis of their standard of creativity, the quality of their scientific contents, and their ability to simplify these contents to best suit the different community categories.

This year experience marks a notable diversification of the awareness tools, including:

(Videos – Posters- Banners- Field Activities in Schools, Orphanages, Medical Units, and Public Places).

What's New for this year?

Rather than relying on electronic assessments, students personally demonstrated their projects before the assessment panels so as to emphasize the importance of students interaction and participation.

The event was organized in the presence of Prof. Mohey Elbanna, Dean of the Faculty of Medicine who has praised the students' academic excellence and hard work.

At the end of this event, the outstanding teams were honored, creating an extremely special ceremonial vibes.
