A workshop on the performance of Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) at the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine

Under the supervision of Prof. Olfat Kamel, President of Modern University for Technology and Information (MTI), and Prof. Mahmoud El–Refai, Dean of the Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine, the Faculty organized a beneficial workshop on the performance of Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), entitled "Basic Life Support –BLS." This event was held within the framework of elevating the skills of the Faculty staff, and upgrading the health care levels, involving the notable attendance of the Faculty's members and their assisting staff.

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Ahmed Fathy, CEO of Eagle Learning Solutions Co., covering the principles of quick  actions to the medical emergencies of respiratory failure and cardiac arrest by evaluating the patients’ cases, asking for help, performing chest compressions, opening the airway, and utilizing suitable tools for resuscitation.

Several CPR manikins were used within this lecture in order to provide the participants with a live hands-on application so as to enhance the practical aspects and optimize the immediate benefits.
