The Economics and Digital Transformation Axis session was
convened within the scope of the DTCI 2026 Conference on "Digital
Transformation & Competitive Intelligence in Financial and Business
Organizations", held at the Faculty of
Management and Business Intelligence, Modern University for Technology and
Information (MTI).
The session took place under the chairmanship of:
Prof. Sakr Ahmed Sakr, Former President of Menofia
University.
Alongside the notable attendance of the following host
of peer reviewers:

Prof. Essam Elbadry
Prof. Nevine Tareeh
The session was distinguished by its valuable and
constructive scholarly interactions, addressing the most significant issues in
the field of Digital Economics as well as its role in upholding the economic
development, and promoting competitiveness amidst the swift transformation
towards a Knowledge-Based Economy (KBE).
Thus, in the light of the discussed and demonstrated
research articles, the session suggested the following recommendations:
§ First: Paying close attention to Artificial
Intelligence (AI), Modern Technological Sciences, and Knowledge-Based Economy (KBE) applications, in addition to strengthening
partnerships with the relevant Higher Education Institutions, Scientific
Research Authorities, and Productive and Service Bodies.
§ Second: Encouraging investments, developing
the infrastructure, and expanding partnerships with the Public and Private
Sectors to contribute to the economic development and job creation.
§ Third: Enhancing innovation, and supporting
the startup corporations operating in the fields of Biotechnology, Renewable
Energy, and Information Technology.
§ Fourth: Developing exports, promoting
economic openness, and merging Egyptian corporations into the Global Value
Chains (GVCs).
§ Fifth: Supporting good governance,
upgrading the legislative environment, as well as advancing the transparency
and anti-corruption measures.
§ Sixth: Applying Digital Transformation
technologies in the development of the economic structure, in addition to
increasing sophisticated production.
§ Seventh: Developing Digital Payments System, consolidating
Financial Inclusion, and transference to a non-monetary economy.
§ Eighth: Maximizing the utilization of the
latest Financial Technology, including blockchains, and sustaining the
Financial Digital Transformation.
§ Ninth: Facilitating the e-banking
transactions to support e-commerce.
§ Tenth: Motivating e-commerce through the
adaptation of appropriate financial policies and provision of the necessary
funding for the relevant practitioners.
§ Eleventh: Disseminating the digital culture
among the community representatives, in addition to equipping the relevant
personnel with the required technological skills.
§ Twelfth: Achieving integration between the
economic, social, and institutional policies to encourage sustainable
development.
§ Thirteenth: Exploiting the international
experiences, particularly the Japanese experience in the field of Digital
Economy.
§ Fourteenth: Merging the perspectives of
Cognitive Economy into the academic curriculum.
§ Fifteenth: Consolidating the application of
technological industries in strategic sectors such as electronics and
semiconductors.
§ Sixteenth:
Developing the industrial policies to upgrade Egypt's rank in the Global Value
Chains (GVCs).
§ Seventeenth: Improving investment
environment, and reinforcing the Egyptian Economy competitiveness.
§ Eighteenth: Enhancing the regional
integration alongside with building mutual value chains in order to face any
global challenges.
At the end of the session, the participants
confirmed that these recommendations constitute an all-inclusive academic
framework that is coined to contribute to Digital Transformation and uphold the
Egyptian Economy competitiveness with the aim of fulfilling the objectives of
the sustainable development.
