Dean's Message

I welcome you to your new home Modem University for Technology & Information (MTI). Wishing you all the best hoping God had helped you in choosing the best Academic Institute to complete your study at the level you admire & dream. MTI Is considered one of the big educational foundations in Egypt and was established with special concern for every small detail to reach the higher educational level according to the well establishments, facilities, human resources & services.

 Faculty of Mass Communication is part of this Foundation and considered one of the well-known established faculties of Mass Communication in Egypt and The Arab World due to the caring to make benefit of the Communication Technology revolution. It is equipped with the latest high technological studios for Radio & TV (cameras, editing suite etc__), Journalism lab, graphic lab, Linguistic lab and according to these facilities students can gain high level of practical work as well as training during the academic year. So, indeed students will be capable to obtain the requirements and skills needed to have the opportunity to find their way in the market place, fulfilling their aims in the era of Info media. Study Policy

Education in the faculty of Mass communication depends on credit hours system. The education period is four years divided into eight semesters: two per year. The semester period is 15 weeks plus two weeks for exams. the credit hour will be used as a unit to measure the weight of every course.

In order to graduate, students have to complete 144 credit hours.

Studies are general in the first four semesters. In these semesters students will study introductions to different mass communication specializations plus general courses in social sciences, information and communication technology. Specialization begins in the fifth semester. Students have the freedom to choose the specialization they want or the faculty may put some conditions to help them choosing the specialization suitable for their abilities.

Head Of Journalism Department

Studying journalism is considered as mother of all Mass Communication studies which have been born previously and recently. Therefore , the educational program of Journalism seeks for being updated with the newest trends in studying Journalism including the Journalistic Editing & writing , art of designing and printing , Management & publishing and distribution, and finally the Electronic Journalism , that all aspects are being studied according to the newest scientific references specialized in that field. Journalism department pays attention on connecting with all Journalistic associations and organizations and organize periodical visits for the different newspapers and popular publishing houses in order to gain some experience from that distinct experts and specialists then revealing to-updated trends in printing , computer applications in designing , executing technology and connection with International networks and news agencies around the world. Printed Journalism still the rich ground and the flow source that provides all different Mass Media means and channels with notions,topics and human resources who are responsible for wording and creation in different sorts of writing such as reporting ,analytical ,investigating and criticizing that matter which leads to a plenty in job vacancies for the department graduates in all Mass Media fields and aspects all over the Egypt and abroad.

Radio & T.V department has the pride to reach some kind of distinction on both level theoretical and practical and has succeeded in competing with its matches among the rest of radio & T.V departments in local Mass communication Faculties and is seeks for the globalism in foreseeable future. The department grants a very advanced level of education for its students throughout a huge amount of deep educational courses which are being educated by featured unique staff of Radio & T.V tutors including prof.Sami El Sharief the Dean of the Faculty who has- besides his distinct unique academic experience a huge credit of an equivalent experience in the practical field throughout his obvious and active presence at several Mass Media practical forums , head of several judges committees for Broadcasting festivals and a previous head of Radio & T.V Egyptian Union. Radio & T.V students have a golden opportunity for training and practicing thus, bringing closer to the practical work techniques and tools in both Radio and Television broadcasting field. That opportunity which has been offered because of MTI Media production studios which has been founded and managed by the Dr.Waleed debes and his distinct staff.

The entire concept of Public Relations & advertising department is to teach the students how to do a media & adverting campaign starting from brainstorming & marketing the idea (product- service) to serve the society The students have the privilege to do marketing study, SWOT analysis to find the strengths & opportunities of the campaign to fulfill its` objective. Accordingly, the campaign initiate different messages with varieties of means as outdoor, newspaper PR&TV social media & SMS to the target audience We have the pleasure to announce that this academic year the students launched 3 campaigns, 2 campaigns are concerned of social marketing the relation between children & electronics under the name of 7asale7 lebity under the supervision of Ms. Mai Mahmoud and the second campaign is related to the awareness of the individuals value within the societyunder the name of Nokta under the supervision of Ms. Shaimaa Abd el-Magid. Besides, the 3rd campaign conducted a social responsibility campaign under the name of Etisalate together under the supervision of Ms. Walaa Mosaad. These campaigns were judged by a committee of judge (academic & experts) in the same field who appreciated the capabilities of the students as they are ready for the MARKET.
